Car back fires 1974 318 mopar?

i tried adjusting the f/a and i tried adjusting the distributor. not sure wat it could be. 2 barrel carter carb rebuilt, headman headers with cherry bombs no pipes. bran new spark plugs. maybe im not adjusting the F/A good enough, i have them turned almost all the way in maybe i should turn them out alot?
