Can a nine month old Lab/Chow mix pup be corrected from biting and chewing?

Put a muzzle on her until she is through teething. But she really needs to chew. Best thing to do is correct her. Every time you see her chewing on some thing she shouldn't, take it away and replace it with a bone or other toy.
