Who is the most overrated pop star OF ALL TIME?

I'm writing a bio of pop culture and I want to get internet users feedback on who they think the most overrated pop star is of all time and why. They can be from any decade, male or female and any genre of music. You have to state why, however. In my personal opinion I think Britney Spears and Paula Abdul are the most overrated. 1. Neither can sing AT ALL without studio trickery and embellishments. 2. They are, or were dancers...NOT SINGERS! 3. They are batshit crazy and I don't think they are good role models. One can be crazy and individualistic and inspire others to be that way. I don't think either one of these "women" have done that. Britney Spears is a 30 year old woman who is basically being babysat by her father and who can't think for herself. This is a role model?
